Chapter ( 11 )
The Art of War is an ancient Chinese military treatise attributed to Sun Tzu, a high-ranking military general and strategist during the late spring and autumn period around 2 BC. This book is composed of thirteen chapters that are each devoted to one aspect of warfare. It is said to be “the definitive work on military strategies and tactics of its time, and is still read for military insights”. In this project chapter 11(the nine situations) are distributed into sections. The challenge in this project was to compose the relationship between the type and the images. It has twenty-four different illustrations for each spread. This booklet is the result of the gained experiences in a typography studio.
